“One businessman, however, has already begun to deliver on his promise to assist Puerto. Elon Musk has used battery storage and Tesla’s solar panels to turn back the electricity on San Juan’s Children’s Hospital — and he did it free of charge.
The Hospital del Nino of San Juan serves some 3,000 children on the island, with three dozen critically ill patients who want care.
In a viral Instagram post, Musk clarified, “Hospital del Niño (Children’s Hospital) is the first of several solar+battery Tesla jobs going live in Puerto Rico. Glad to help support the restoration. Congrats to the Tesla team for working 24/7 to make this happen as fast as possible. ””*
