The Momentous Institute has been assembling and fixing societal mental well-being for more than 90 years. The Dallas-based organization serves and family 6,000 members directly each through mental health psychological health-established societal programs and a program at its nationally acclaimed School.
In honor of National Roofing Week July 5-11, former NRCA President Nelson Braddy, president of King of Texas Roofing Co. LP, Grand Prairie, headed an attempt to supply a new roof system for the Momentous Institute. The job entailed a TPO recover of a 300-square roof, and King of Texas Roofing given work for the job–a team of eight workers plus a foreman and superintendent.
Materials were contributed by various businesses for the job. H&E Equipment Services, Baton Rouge, La., given an elevator; Johns Manville, Denver, given the TPO membrane; OMG Roofing Products, Agawam, Mass., donated fasteners and plates; Roofing Supply Group LLC, Dallas, given the skylights and roof hatch railing; and Rmax, Dallas, given the polyisocyanurate insulation. Jim Whitten Roof Consultants LLC, Austin, Texas, supplied the design services.
